The Sentinel was inspired by games such as Brookhaven Experiment and suspenseful Western games, like Hunt: Showdown. The goal of the game was to create a tense, action-packed experience that places a heavy emphasis on player interactivity with in-game objects, such as weapons. The player manually has to get a bullet, load their weapon, aim and then fire; all while being horded by intimidating monsters.

Requirements
- Oculus device (Android 7.0 API level 24 or higher).
- Two Oculus touch controllers.
- Oculus and desktop link cable.
- Player is mostly stationary, a large play area is not too necessary.
Installation
1) Install and open SideQuest on a desktop/Mac device.
2) Connect the Oculus device to the desktop/mac.
3) In the Oculus device, click allow.
4) Use SideQuest to transfer the game APK and install it.
5) In the Oculus device, go to apps -> All -> Unknown Apps.
6) Click on the app and play!
In-Game Instructions
1) The goal of the game is to survive for as long as possible against hordes of monsters that will descend upon the player's position.
2) Use the controller grab buttons to grab the gun (avoid grabbing near the gun's loading lever, it might cause a bug). The grab button has to be held.
3) With the other controller, bring it near the gun's lever and hit the trigger button to open the lever and gun breechblock.
4) Move the controller over the green box's lid and grab with the controller while moving up and forward to open the lid.
5) Move the controller into the stack of bullets and click and hold the grab button to take a bullet from the stack.
6) Move the bullet to the open bullet chamber of the gun. When in range, the bullet in your hand will move into the chamber.
7) Close the gun by clicking on its open lever again with the controller trigger buttons.
8) With the gun held, click the trigger button in order to fire the weapon.
9) Click A to restart the game.
10) Click B to show/hide the tutorial.
11) Click X to show/hide the scoreboard.
12) The game is over when the player's health reaches 0 and they die!
